Life and Community Involvement
Adrian Bird spent most of his life living and working in Liphook and Bramshott. He was deeply involved in local affairs, playing a key role in establishing the Bramshott and Liphook Preservation Society, which is now known as the Heritage Society. He was also instrumental in the foundation of the River Wey Trust.
Education and Professional Career
Adrian Bird received his education at Charterhouse School, followed by Trinity Hall, Cambridge. Soon after completing his studies, he founded his own architectural practice in Liphook.
Architectural Work and Style
Throughout his career, Adrian undertook an impressive range of architectural projects. His work spanned from small extensions and bespoke new homes to flats, house and barn conversions, swimming pools, and gardens. He was known for tackling a prolific number of architectural challenges.
Adrian developed a distinctive architectural style, which, while uniquely his own, was strongly influenced by his admiration for Harry Inigo Triggs, a renowned architect from Liphook.
